Privacy Policy

Overview

Park Arrow does not send your parking location, parking details, photos, or app preferences to the developer. The app stores this information locally on your device. Some optional features use Apple services or another service that you explicitly choose.

Information the app uses

Park Arrow may process the following information on your device when you choose to use the related feature:

• Location: precise or approximate device location used to save a parking spot and calculate distance and direction back to it.
• Parking details: a floor, zone, space number, note, parking-limit time, and reminder preference that you enter.
• Photos: a parking reference photo that you take inside the app.
• Preferences: settings such as distance units, map or compass view, cursor style, and car-marker color.

Storage and retention

Parking records, preferences, and photos are stored in the app’s private local container or its private App Group container shared with the Park Arrow widget. Park Arrow does not operate a server that receives this information.

Your current parking record remains until you clear or replace it. An associated photo is removed when its parking record is cleared and no temporary undo copy requires it. iOS controls removal of app and App Group data when you delete the app.

Apple and system services

When you save a spot, Park Arrow may ask iOS to monitor an on-device geographic region around the car and deliver a one-time notification when you return. The system performs this monitoring using When In Use location authorization. Park Arrow does not continuously track your location in the background, and the developer does not receive the monitored location.

The optional map view uses Apple MapKit and may require a network connection. If you choose Open in Maps, the saved location is opened in Apple Maps. Apple processes information used by these services under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

If you use the iOS share sheet, the destination you select controls the information you choose to share under its own privacy practices.

Permissions and your choices

• Location is requested to save and navigate back to a parked-car location.
• Camera is requested only when you choose to take a parking reference photo.
• Notifications may be requested to deliver parking-limit and arrival reminders.

You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. You can clear your saved parking spot from within Park Arrow to remove its record and associated photo.

Sharing, advertising, and tracking

Park Arrow does not sell personal information. It does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and it does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Information is provided to another service only when you deliberately use a feature that requires that service, such as MapKit, Apple Maps, or the iOS share sheet.

Children

Park Arrow is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. Because the developer does not receive personal information through the app, the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Park Arrow’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
